Jesus is coming soon – A metaphor or reality?

Odds are you have heard the phrase “Jesus is coming soon” referring to the second coming of the Christ as established in scriptures. It been touted for ages as a call to upright living and a forewarning of judgement to come for works done in the flesh

But just like the first coming, gradually it begins to wane and lose the effect in the minds and hearts of men. Men go about their business, just like in biblical times without a regard for the holy. You will even have people make snide remarks about this statement.

“You have been saying this for hundreds of years now, Jesus no show?”

But looking through scriptures, we see that just like the first coming, Jesus comes and then he comes. He comes revealing his nature and his spirit and then he comes.

From Isaiah to John the baptist, the revelation of Jesus increased. Isaiah talked about his birth, John is shoe latchets… progressing revelation preceeds the coming of Jesus. This is the reality of His second coming!

The prophets reveal the nature of God that was vieled to those under the law. The loving nature of the father revealed and culminating in the appearance of the son. Even now the revelation of his power and glory preceeds His coming.

Jesus comes and comes.

In this day, we see the revealtion of His presence, glory and power. Don’t be decieved by the populist media. The power and presence of God is available to those who seek and chose to rest in Him.

Just like the first coming, the awareness of his coming went out of circulation, even the religious leaders had to be made aware after his arrival by Herod. Only a few, Annas and Simeon were aware at his arrival.

He was brought into the “House of God” but only few recognized him. Funny right? The real irony will be those who profess a form of godliness but cannot decipher the coming of our Lord

But unlike the first coming, He will appear in the clouds and all eyes shall see him.

Jesus comes and then comes. Are you ” readying” for His coming? Readiness involves being in tune with the revelation of Him; His person, His presence, His Power

When you have known this Jesus has truly come for you
