The modern day christian faces a lot more questions than ever before…gone are the days of “gba be” (Yoruba word for “Just accept it”). Many youth now seek for reasons and answers, underlying causes to actions so revered by older generations.
Funnily enough such quest for answers come up short with answers like “shut up” and “just do as you are told”, brewing an air of unmeant rebellion to constituted and unconstitutional authority and many are forced to succumb to traditions and cultural preferences, being faced with a position on a divide to which they have no conviction for…for this sake many have felt the pasture greener on the other side and have ended up in critical situations and even death (separation).
It is imperative that the christian youth today ask questions and expect those questions answered, not because of silly unwarranted arguments (which I find amusing a times), but also to form a solid base for the next generation to come, where the landmarks of the generations before still find a grounding not just in established institutions but in the hearts of men.
We (I and some other contributors), would seek to address questions and provide bible-based answers, not leaving out the realities of the modern day in which we live.
John 17:14-17
“I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
We hold the bible has being truth, the manual for living on earth today, and do believe that you will find your basis for living in it…and not the dogmas of men that being challenged today have failed to take hold being established on cultural and other standards…
We will not limit our discussions to the seemingly nicer topics, but upfront decide to challenge the big horned questions, we do hope you find peace, sanity (lol!) and hope in these posts. Feel free to send in comments and questions you would want answered.
